National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai, was honored to have Mr. Sumit Sinha for the second session of the corporate talk series conducted on 29th April on “Rethinking the chain- Build to Suit”. Mr. Sumit Sinha has 20 years of supply chain experience in management consulting, end to end supply chain, and business analytics. He has worked with multiple organizations like PwC, Dell and now with the J&J consumer health division as the head of supply chain.
Mr. Sumit Sinha interacted with NITIE faculty & students through online talk and highlighted about the disruptions in supply chain. He talked about the various myths in a supply chain that were uncovered during the pandemic situation such as, collaboration is not just a few people job and change management is not a multi-year task. He touched upon the need to move from a responsive supply chain to a predictive supply chain. He also mentioned that innovation and advanced technologies like AI are the key to cost-effective and agile supply chain.
