NITIE has been selected as Nodal Centre, Mumbai, to host the Grand Finale of Toycathon 2021. Toycathon 2021 is an inter-ministerial initiative organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from All Indian Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Organized under the “AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ initiated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi, the Toycathon is a nationwide competition for students to participate in the development of sophisticated toys and games that are rooted in Bharatiya culture, tradition, and ethos.

Under the leadership of Prof. Manoj K. Tiwari, Director NITIE, we are proud to be assigned the responsibility of hosting both the Digital and Physical edition of this mega-event that is aimed at making India the Toy Capital of the World through the efforts of young and innovative minds from across the country.

Toycathon Digital Edition is set to commence from June 22-24, 2021.

NITIE, Mumbai is proud and honored to host Shri Nitin Gadkari Ji, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises - Government of India, as the Chief Guest of Honour for the closing ceremony of the Global Online Certification Course on Supply Chain Digitization and Management on 21st March at 4:45 PM IST.

The course has received an overwhelming response with 2500+ participants from 250+ prestigious national and international organizations from 13+ countries. NITIE is organizing a talk by Prof. Jagdish Sheth, Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Business at Goizueta Business School, Emory University, USA. Prof. Sheth is the recipient of all the top four academic awards bestowed by the American Marketing Association (AMA). These include the PD Converse Award for Marketing Theory (1998), Charles Coolidge Parlin Award for Marketing Research (2004), the Richard D. Irwin/McGraw Hill Marketing Educator Award (2004), and the William L. Wilkie "Marketing for a Better World” Award (2014). He was also awarded Padma Bhusan in 2020 by the Government of India.
